I must admit I am a strange type of introvert. I like being alone, I recharge my batteries while reading a good book or watching a movie alone. But I love festivals. The masses of people, the energy flowing in the air... And still you are anonymous, you can go with the crowd or not, no one will notice... Music festivals are a sign of vacation for me. There's one taking place every year on our town's airport: Mighty Sounds. Ska, punk and reggae festival, also rock, indie, techno and other genres are available. You can go see a theatre, try several types of food, you know, normal everyday festival. And I was at work all weekend. And on Monday too. So, no festival for me. But on Sunday I got so bored that I called my Bf we will do the same thing we did last year. This is a guide for those who want to get the festival feeling in few hours. Do not take it literally.
Sunday is the last day of the festival and so many people leave in the afternoon as they go to work the day after. And these people usually have no money left. So we exchanged two cold beers for the festival wristbands, we cut them and then stitched them and put on our wrists and got inside the complex. I was so excited and so thirsty! It was like seven p.m. and we left after midnight and I managed 7 light beers (I usually stop at four, because it doesn't taste good to me anymore) and a Frisco. I wanted to have the true festival experience in a short period of time, so we drunk a lot, ate a lot.

checked the merchandise stalls, bought two pin badges, signed a petition at Green peace stall, got a picture together, stole (well, more like found, they were abandoned in the field) a few plastic cups (every year you get a token and a cup from hard plastic, you pay 50,- CZK for it and if you give it back with the token, you get your money back),

so we could carry them home - they have the Mighty logo on them, which is awesome, they're unbreakable and really practical, also we found a guitar pick (have no idea how, as it is black, it was completely dark when I found it in the grass), another pin and a few stickers. And music! When you have just a few hours (well, of course we could have stayed for a whole night but I'm not that type that is able to go to work straight from a party -I have to talk to strangers properly, you know) to spare, you can't be very picky when it comes to interpreters. You choose genres, stages and such. So I can't tell you who I was listening to. Well, I managed to hear Sto zvířat (Czech ska band), Vladimir 518 (Czech rapper) and Niceland's acoustic concert (Czech project, the front man was alone this time, sounds like REM and Placebo, which was quite perfect), I don't remember the rest.
I remember dancing in a party tent to a DJ, enjoying the light show and stuff, then realising it's midnight...
So we walked back home (it took about half an hour).

In the morning I got a shower and rushed to work, wondering if it would be safe to not put of the sunglasses for whole day and guide the tours in the underground with it, as my eyes looked really terrible. Finally, there are some new fashion trends brought to you by Mighty Sounds:
P.S. - hope you liked my festival T-shirt. :)
